DESCRIPTION – A new variety with darkest crimson new growth of any lillypilly variety. Glossy large dark green foliage fast growing upright tall shrub/small native tree. Attractive glossy green leaves with coppery-red new growth. Will produce fluffy white flowers in summer followed by purple berries in Autumn.
CULTURAL – Suited to most free draining garden soils in a sunny open position. Will tolerate dry conditions once established and is reasonably frost tolerant. For best results fertilise with a slow release fertilizer in Spring.
LANDSCAPE USE - A great choice for a quick growing screen. Its fantastic foliage color makes it popular for topiary standards or cones. It is prone to Phsylid insect attack that causes bubbling on the leaves. Spray with a systemic insecticide.
