Espalier or fan
- plants are trained flat onto a piece of trellis. Branches are tied back to the trellis and growth coming outwards is trimmed. Ideal for planting in areas where there’s not much room, like down the side walkway of a house.

Cloud tree
- interesting sculptural form of topiary. Branches are selected at even spacing around the plant. Branches are then left clear of foliage and a round bush is clipped at the ends of the branches.
