Strong growth drives restructure at Warners Nurseries

Warners Nurseries is seeking to appoint a General Manager as part of its plan to remain at the forefront of nursery production.

According to Director Michael Warner, the restructure comes after ten years of unprecedented growth for the business.

“The business has grown substantially over the last decade, with a strong focus on building our production capabilities and meeting the market needs for high-end quality product.

“We now feel that it’s time to turn our focus to the business, and ensure that we have the right structure and systems in place to take Warners to the next level,” Michael said.

After 10 years at the helm of the family-run business, Michael will step aside as Managing Director to concentrate on Business Development projects. John Warner will expand his role to coordinate all Production capabilities, while Kelly Warner will continue to manage Finance and Staff portfolios. Darren Warner will be responsible for Sales and Customer Service, working alongside Key Accounts Manager Andrew Smith.

The appointment of a General Manager marks a new phase for the 103 year-old business, but Michael is confident that it is a positive move for the Nursery.

“We are all incredibly excited by this next stage of growth for Warners. We have a dynamic team underpinned by a positive and passionate company culture, but there is always room for fresh ideas. We’re looking for someone to complement our existing skills set, and provide leadership to the group as we traverse yet another generational change.

“Our aim is to find the right person to help shape the next stage of business development for Warners Nurseries, and take us from a great performing nursery to a great performing business,” he said.
