Our Plants

Camellia japonica 'Pope John XXIII'

The best performing and toughest formal white variety. Lovely dark green foliage with large showy white flowers.

Morning sun or part shade protected from hot afternoon sun and strong wind. Well drained, slightly acidic soil. Dense shade restricts flowering. Fertilise in Spring and Summer with a specific Camellia fertiliser or a complete organic fertiliser.
Prune after flowering to maintain a compact shape.

Fantastic flowering garden shrubs, very hardy and drought tolerant once established. Suitable for growing in containers in small courtyard or entertaining areas. Plant with other traditional favourites like Azaleas, Pieris and Helleborus
