A compact growing form of Ficus hillii with emerald green foliage and lighter green new growth. 'Flash' is an Australian native with a quick upright growth habit. It will grow to a large tree if untrimmed. Flowers are insignificant.

Cultural

Prefers a moist well drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded position, but will survive well in conditions that are less than favourable. Requires protection from frost when young. For best results fertilise with a long term slow release fertilizer in early Spring. Prune to shape when required. Will perform well in Melbourne and even makes a great indoor plant.

Landscape Uses

Utilised extensively in the landscape because of its toughness and versatility. Perfect for hedging around pools or formal gardens. It's foliage creates wonderful topiary standards and cones which can be grown in pots if kept clipped. This plant can do it all!
