Acer rubrum 'Autumn Red' reknowned for its glorious autumn colour. A common sight in North America and often called the Canadian Maple. Not only are the leaves a stunning feature changing from orange to deep red, but the wood of the tree in all it sizes are various shades of red.


Requires deep moist fertile soils with protection from wind- situated in full sun or semi shade. Very little pruning needed to maintain shape. 

Landscape Uses

Maples look stunning in Japanese gardens when planted with Pieris, Azaleas and Hosta. They make lovely container specimens and look spectacular when planted in groups.
