Camellia japonica 'Lovelight'
Beautiful, large semi-double, white flowers with heavy petals and prominent yellow stamens. Leaves are dark green and pointed.
Cultural
Morning sun or part shade protected from hot afternoon sun and strong wind. Well drained, slightly acidic soil. Dense shade restricts flowering. Fertilise in spring and summer with a specific Camellia fertiliser or a complete organic fertiliser. Prune after flowering to maintain a compact shape.
Landscape Uses
Fantastic flowering garden shrubs, very hardy and drought tolerant once established. Suitable for growing as background specimens or screening in mixed garden plantings. Plant with other traditional favourites like Azalea, Pieris and Helleborus
