One of the most versatile groundcovers the Ceratostigma plumbaginoides is a very tough perennial which can tolerate full sun to full shade. It boasts vivid blue flowers from spring until autumn and has oval shaped leaves which start a light green and turn into a deep crimson colour in late autumn and winter.
Is happy growing in a full sun to full shade position and can tolerate most soil types, though does not like wet feet. Is frost and drought tolerant.
Its sprawling nature makes this shrub an ideal low growing ground cover and is ideal for erosion control. Great for mass planting, borders, between pavers and in pots.
