Camellia x williamsii 'Hari Withers'
Medium to large evergreen shrub, dark green glossy foliage with large deep pink medium formal double flowers. This is one of the strongest growing Camellia japonica varieties , ideal for difficult growing conditions.
Cultural
Part shade. Pink varieties will generally take more sun than white varieties. Well drained, slightly acidic soil. Dense shade restricts flowering. Fertilise in spring and summer with a specific Camellia fertiliser or a complete organic fertiliser. Prune after flowering to maintain a compact shape.
Landscape Uses
Fantastic flowering garden shrubs, very hardy and drought tolerant once established. Suitable for growing as background specimens or screening in mixed garden plantings. Plant with other traditional favourites like Azalea, Pieris and Helleborus.
