Hydrangea hybrid 'Runaway Bride' pbr
Hydrangea 'Runaway Bride' is a stunning new variety with unique cascading garland like stems with large crisp white blooms. Warners have spent many years growing and perfecting the best selection and most forward flowering Hydrangeas for you to enjoy.
Cultural
Plant in part shade to full sun in well-draining soils; clay-loam. Low water requirements once established. Fertilise regularly throughout the active growing season with an all-purpose fertiliser.
Basal shoots should be allowed to grow as they will be the flowering stems in the next year. By keeping these basal shoots, they will achieve the magical 'garland' growing habit. - Do not prune!
Tolerates cold temperatures to -10, frost hardy.
Will flower for upwards of four months from late spring to autumn. Vibrant autumnal foliage provides contrast and interest to the garden design.
Landscape Uses
Its spreading habit makes it almost a 'groundcover' or climbing Hydrangea that will reward with its early season flowering. Use for semi-formal to informal hedging, or as a filler plant for established garden beds.
Grows well in containers with its abundant flowering nature and cascading branching. Perfect for high-impact container displays, and as a unique garden feature; in large baskets, urns, or espalier.
