Strobilanthes gossypinus
Strobilanthes gossypinus (commonly called Persian Shield) is a striking evergreen shrub prized for its velvety, silver-gold leaves that form a dense mound. Mature plants produce panicles of soft, mauve flowers which sit above the compact growth. Ideal for adding colour and texture to shadier areas of the garden.

Can tolerate full shade however, leaf colour may be darker. Protect from harsh afternoon sun and frost.

Maintenance:
Requires little maintenance. If required, prune away dead or damaged growth in spring. Will benefit from a yearly application of mulch.
