A tall growing Lemon bearing several crops of fruit with the heaviest during the summer months. Less vigorous than Lisbon, it has very few thorns. Fruit has highly acidic flesh and yields lots of juice.
Performs best in a warm full sun position and is happy in most soil types as long as it has good drainage. Lemons can be attacked by citrus scale and leaf miner, use appropriate treatment if detected. Prevent insect attack by growing in ideal conditions. Fertilise in spring and late summer with high nitrogen fertiliser.
Popular in Australian backyards, especially Mediterranean gardens. Plant with Oleander, Osmanthus, Olives and Lavender and other Mediterranean favourites. Height to 6m.
