Glossy dark green foliage, green rounded fruit that ripen to yellow, white perfumed flowers in Summer.

Limes are very hardy, plant in a full sun position in well drained soil. Prune to shape in early Spring. Limes like other citrus can be attacked by citrus leaf miner and citrus scale. Use appropriate treatment if detected. Prevent insect attack by growing in ideal conditions. Fertilise in Spring and late Summer with a high nitrogen fertiliser.

Landscape Uses

Limes produce lots of medium sized fruit; very juicy and seedless. Ideal for cooking and for refreshing drinks. Harvest while still green. Limes make fantastic container plants.
