Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy'
A compact domed deciduous tree with heart shaped purple foliage which ages to a bronzed red. Rosey pink flowers emerge en-masse in spring.
Cultural
Plant in a full sun position in well-draining soil. Mix in some good organic matter when planting. Will appreciate a deep watering in prolonged dry periods and an autumn application of lime. Frost tolerant.
Landscape Uses
A wonderful specimen tree with feature foliage and spring flower. Relatively compact growth making it ideal for smaller gardens.
