This variant has a narrow and columnar growth habit with dark green leaves that turn a reddish-purple in autumn. Masses of small white flowers bloom during Spring. Our Pyrus are grafted for optimal growing performance.
Cultural

Soil:
Can tolerate any soil.
Aspect:
Full sun to part shade.
Maintenance:
Prune in late winter to maintain height or to remove any damaged or crossed branches. Apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring to promote healthy growth.
Water Requirements:
Drought tolerant once established. Can withstand wet periods.
Seasonal Interest:
Autumn foliage colour, late winter to spring flowering.
Landscape Uses
This Pyrus variant is fastigiate (branches are parallel to the main stem), which makes it very suitable for street planting, screening or in areas where there is limited space. Care should be taken to minimise exposure to strong winds.
