Eucalyptus Purple Patch is a perfect suburban-sized gum tree which provides habitat for wildlife and whose plentiful purple blooms provide food for native birds and insects. Purple Patch is an adaptable tree, thriving in Australia's temperate, sub-tropical and semi-arid climate zones. It is also frost tolerant and grows well in coastal environments.

Low once established
Seasonal Interest:
Masses of purple flowers in late winter to spring.

Landscape Uses

The highlights of Eucalyptus Purple Patch are the masses of purple blooms in spring, along with its deep purple stems and semi-weeping foliage. Underplanting with a variety of other Australian natives or plants from our AussieMed range complement the foliage and blooms and help create a garden with interest across the seasons. Eucalyptus Purple Patch provides a gentle dappled shade - creating a perfect spot to place a garden bench, birdbath or pond underneath. The light shade keeps your underplanting options open compared to the dense shade created by other evergreen trees.
