Camellia pitardii x 'Nicky Crisp'
Pale lavender pink semi-double blooms with golden anther characterise this compact growing variety.
Cultural
Part shade. Pink varieties will generally take more sun than white varieties. Well drained, slightly acidic soil. Dense shade restricts flowering. Fertilise in spring and summer with a specific Camellia fertiliser or a complete organic fertiliser. Prune after flowering to maintain a compact shape.
Landscape Uses
Fantastic flowering garden shrubs, very hardy and drought tolerant once established. Suitable for growing in containers in small courtyards or entertaining areas. Plant with other traditional favourites like Azalea, Pieris and Helleborus.
