Cultural

Nashi are self-fertile and capable of fruiting on its own but, cross-pollination with another pear variety that flowers at the same time will enhance fruit set. Ensure bud union is planted above soil level.

Prefers a fertile, well-drained soil.

Maintenance:
Prune in winter to maintain shape. Apply a general fertiliser in spring to promote healthy growth and fruit development. Will benefit from annual application of compost and mulch in spring.
