Leucadendron x hybrida 'Sundance'
Leucadendron 'Sundance' is a hardy southern African plant with tough green foliage painted with crimson red tips. In late winter to early spring 'Sundance' comes alive with large flower bracts. The flower bracts are deep crimson on the outside, open to cream-white inside and contain a sunshine-yellow flower in the centre. In full bloom the plants look to be covered with beaming suns, bringing colour and cheer to a garden at the end of winter.
Cultural
Leucadendron are tough and beautiful shrubs native to southern Africa and well suited to our harsh dry climate. Grows best in areas with hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. Doesn't grow well in high humidity.

Prefers a well-drained, acidic soil.

Prune after flowering to maintain shape.
Water Requirements:
Drought tolerant once established but will benefit from supplementary watering during extended dry periods.

A stunning feature plant that also looks fantastic mass planted. It complements Australian natives well in mixed plantings and is great for cut flowers, adding both color and texture to floral arrangements.
