Lavandula angustifolia
A popular small evergreen shrub featuring strongly scented, grey green foliage and small purple-blue flower spikes. Flowers mainly during late Spring to early Summer.
Cultural
Grows in any well drained soil in an open sunny situation. Remove spent flower spikes regularly to prolong flowering. Prune after flowering - taking care not to prune into old wood.
Landscape Uses
Ideal for informal and formal shrub borders, cottage gardens, rockeries and patio containers. Makes a great low hedge once established.
