Syzygium australe 'Hinterland Gold'
A dense, upright Australian native shrub known for its striking golden-yellow new growth that matures to glossy green foliage. In summer, it produces clusters of small, creamy-white flowers followed by bright red berries, adding seasonal interest and attracting birds.
Cultural
Syzygium will tolerate light frosts once established but new growth may still be affected. To avoid fruit, prune when flowering. Susceptible to attack from Psyllid and Lily Pilly Beetle

Tolerates any well-drained soil.
Aspect:
Full sun to part shade.
Maintenance:
Prune as required to maintain size and shape. Apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring to promote healthy growth and vibrant colour. Monitor for Psyllid and Lily Pilly Beetle- treat accordingly.
Water Requirements:
Drought tolerant once established. Will benefit from occasional, deep watering during extended dry periods.

Summer flowering.

A great choice for a fast-growing screen, with glossy green foliage that provides an excellent backdrop for other plants. Its upright, dense shape and narrow width make it ideal for tight spaces, and it can be trained as a standard or shaped into topiary.
