Syzygium australe 'Hinterland Gold'
A fast growing upright tall shrub/small native tree. Attractive glossy green leaves with coppery-gold new growth. Will produce fluffy white flowers in Summer followed by purple berries in Autumn.
Cultural
Suited to most free draining garden soils in a sunny open position. Will tolerate dry conditions once established and is reasonably frost tolerant. For best results fertilise with a slow release fertiliser in Spring.
Landscape Uses
A great choice for a quick growing screen, with its glossy green foliage making a good backdrop for other plants. Its upright dense shape and narrow width is also ideal for narrow spaces, and it can be trained to a standard or topiary.
