Acmena smithii 'Purple Rain' pbr
A dense, fast-growing Australian native shrub with striking deep purple to burgundy new growth that gradually matures to rich green foliage. Small white flowers appear in summer, followed by dark purple berries that attract pollinating birds and insects to your garden.

Acmena are rarely troubled by pest and disease and are psyllid resistant.

Maintenance:
Prune as required to maintain shape and desired size. To avoid fruit, prune when flowering or directly afterwards. Apply a native fertiliser in spring to promote healthy growth.

Drought tolerant once established. Will benefit from occasional, deep watering during extended dry periods.
