A lush, medium-fast-growing Australian native, ‘Warners Emerald‘ features glossy, mid-green foliage complemented by attractive flushes of lime-green new growth. This psyllid-resistant cultivar has a dense, upright habit making it ideal for clipping and maintaining a formal appearance. Small, white flowers appear in summer but, it has been carefully selected for its minimal berry production making it perfect around paved areas.

Cultural

Acmena are rarely troubled by pest and disease and are psyllid resistant.
Soil:
Tolerates any well-drained soil.
Aspect:
Full sun to part shade.
Maintenance:
Prune as required to maintain shape and desired size. Apply a native fertiliser in spring to promote healthy growth.
Water Requirements:
Drought tolerant once established. Will benefit from occasional, deep watering during extended dry periods.
Seasonal Interest:
Summer flowering.

Landscape Uses

An ideal choice for screens or windbreaks with deep green foliage that provides an excellent backdrop for other plants. It can also be grown in large containers or clipped into topiary shapes and is well-suited to street plantings and industrial sites.
