Purpurea is a vibrant, low-growing groundcover with deep purple-bronze leaves accented by hints of green, creating a rich, textured appearance. In spring, it produces tall spikes of tubular violet-blue flowers that rise above the foliage, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

Ajuga are frost tolerant once established and are suitable for a range of conditions. Can tolerate full sun if kept moist.
