Cycas revoluta
Also known as the sago palm, this cycad is a very hardy plant. Featuring dark green foliage, it will grow in most conditions, and is ideal for recreating that tropical resort ‘look and feel’ in the garden.
Cultural
A slow growing, long-lived plant. Prolonged frost can damage the foliage. CAUTION: all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested.
Soil:
Prefers a fertile, well-drained soil.
Aspect:
Full sun to part shade.
Maintenance:
Remove old leaves at any time. Apply a nitrogen rich fertiliser in spring and summer to encourage leaf growth. Susceptible to scale and mites, treat accordingly.
Water Requirements:
Will tolerate dry periods once established but performs better with adequate moisture. Avoid overwatering.
Seasonal Interest:
Year round foliage.

This palm like plant is stunning as a specimen or mass planting for tropical effect. Ideal for around pools and works especially well in decorative containers highlighting it‘s sculptural form.
