Achillea millefolium 'Terracotta'
A herbaceous perennial with fine, feathery leaves. Umbels of small flowers bloom from early to late summer, creating a magnificent display above the grey-green foliage. The flowers offer a range of colours as they mature, starting as a coral pink then changing to terracotta and warm yellows. Great for attracting butterflies.

In the right position, Achillea are generally trouble free.
Soil:
Tolerates any well-drained soil, suitable for poor soils.
Aspect:
Full sun, shade will impact flowering.
Maintenance:
Cut back after flowering to encourage a secondary bloom. Cut foliage to base at the end of autumn, plants will re-shoot in Spring. Spreads easily via rhizomes, divide in winter as required. Susceptible to fungal diseases in humid or wet conditions.
Water Requirements:
Drought tolerant once established. Will benefit from occasional, deep watering during extended dry periods. Will not tolerate wet soil.

Summer flowering.

Perfect for cottage gardens, borders and challenging conditions like rockeries and balcony gardens. Pairs well with cooler colours, like Salvia ‘Caradonna‘, creating beautiful contrast in the garden. Excellent for attracting pollinators so makes a useful addition to edible gardens.
