Salvia guarantica 'Black & Blue'
Salvia ‘Black and Blue’ is a striking, upright perennial known for its vivid cobalt-blue flowers held against contrasting dark, almost black stems. Flowering from late spring through to autumn, it forms a loose clump of mid-green foliage and delivers a long-lasting, high-impact display that attracts pollinators.

Maintenance:
Tip prune when young to encourage bushy plants. Deadhead regularly to promote continual flowering. In winter, cut the plant to the ground. Apply a general fertiliser in spring and late summer to promote healthy growth. Will benefit from a yearly application of compost and mulch.
Water Requirements:
Drought tolerant once established. Will benefit from occasional, deep watering during extended dry periods. Will not tolerate waterlogged soil.

Ideal for mixed borders, mass planting, and feature groupings where bold colour is desired. Its height and vertical form make it perfect for the middle to back of garden beds, while its extended flowering season adds continuity to perennial and cottage-style plantings. Great for pots.
